Irish Traditional Music is a social activity. It isn’t generally about money or fame, instead, it is about sharing the music and camaraderie with friends, and making new acquaintances as we make the journey through this life. One of the best venues for this kind of sharing is a private home.
There are a lot of people along the Front Range of Colorado who share a love of Irish Traditional Music, whether it be as players or simply as fans of the genre. One of the best ways to learn to play the music well is to learn from people who have been immersed in playing the music for many years, and that is the primary idea behind IrishHouseConcerts.com, to bring masters of the music into my home in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. to perform, share, and teach the music.
I have hosted many fantastic musicians over the last several years, including Frankie Gavin, John Carty, Kevin Crawford, Randal Bays, Tony DeMarco, Isaac Alderson, Connie Dover, Brian Conway, Matt & Shannon Heaton, Dale Russ, Cillian Vallely, Dylan Foley, Roger Landes, Turlach Boylan, Isaac Alderson, Colin Farrell, and Marla Fibish. I am constantly talking with other musicians about coming to town.
